The Honorary Consulate of Slovak Republic in Atlanta contributes to the development of bilateral relations in the political, economic and cultural fields and to the development of economic, trade, tourism, education and science exchange between the Slovak Republic and the US states of Georgia and South Carolina. The Honorary Consul assists Slovak citizens here by performing two consular functions: legalization of signatures and copies of documents, and issuing emergency travel documents.

John W. Woodward

John Woodward is pleased to serve as the Honorary Consul of Slovak Republic in Atlanta. A specialist in cross-border trade and investment with a background in economic development and site selection, Mr. Woodward has advised hundreds of international companies exploring US market entry, as well as US companies expanding overseas. He led the global commerce division of the Metropolitan Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and served as vice chair of the Georgia Foreign Trade Zone. He also worked in commercial real estate in New York City and foreign exchange in Washington, DC. Mr. Woodward holds a BSFS from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.
